The mission of the Legal Services Branch is to provide excellent, innovative, timely, practical and cost effective legal and legislative services to the government of British Columbia in accordance with the rule of law. We accomplish this by:

The Paralegal position provides services to Legal Counsel within the Legal Services?Branch on large, complex, sensitive, high-profile cases which impact the delivery of Branch and Ministry objectives. These services include: the management of case information/disclosure/redaction/witnesses; preliminary case-related research and analysis, including noting up of cases, assessing and summarizing material; the coordination of communication flow among parties involved in a case; training in case-related procedures and technology; and Branch project planning and implementation.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
- Completion of a Paralegal Certificate or Diploma. An advanced legal degree, such as a law degree, may be considered as an equivalent to a Paralegal Certificate.
- Preference may be given to candidates with previous experience in Civil Litigation.
- Preference may be given to candidates with at least three (3) years of experience in a legal office environment.
