The Health Sector Information Management/Information Technology Division, within the BC Ministry of Health, provides sector-wide leadership for IM/IT planning, policy and business solutions. The division’s project management office (PMO) provides guidance, leadership and oversight to the ministry’s IM/IT projects.
The PMO is currently looking for a Senior Project Manager who will be responsible for the continuous improvement, maintenance and delivery of the ministry’s project management methodology and resources.? As a project management coach, the Senior Project Manager will provide leadership, guidance and training on project management best practices to ministry project leaders.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Degree in computer science or a related field plus 4 years related experience OR Diploma/Certificate in computer science or a related field and 5 years related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Formal training in Project Management.? Preference may be given to Project Management Professional or Prince2 trained applicants.
- Minimum four years of experience leading large complex projects with multiple stakeholder groups and work streams.? Experience should include developing project charters, master project plans, schedules and risk analysis.
- Preference will be given to applicants with the following:
- Experience facilitating, coaching and/or training staff.
- Experience and/or education in Change Management.
- Experience and/or education in Lean.
- Experience in budget management and procurement management.
